Our Story
Born from a lifetime of fishing in South Louisiana & a sudden want to build a simple but functional custom fishing rod back in 2010, VooDoo Rods was officially founded by Casey and LaDonna Portier in 2013 as a rod building side hustle. Over a few years of mastering the craft & getting involved in the rod building community, I met a number of talented builders, and made contacts with the few suppliers. Through these contacts we found out about an opportunity to possibly purchase a small company that sold a few rod building consumables. We always wanted to start a business together so we started on our journey into becoming the best rod-building supplier we possible could. Over the years we slowly but methodically grew into who we are today and looking forward to being an even better rod building source as we continue to grow. We are proud to provide rod builders everywhere with the materials and inspiration to create their best work.
