This was the 3rd time in using the G4 CP. It is really very easy to apply and covers very well on the 1st coat. Dried evenly without any spots. It is going to be my go to CP.

I made up a test blank using Vivid the color preserver it saturated and sealed all the threads completely and restored the thread back to it’s original color after drying. My next build will include Vivid as my color preserver.

Dries clear and not cloudy like my previous color preserver

I have bee using ProKote and Pro Seal CP for several years, and have had no problems at all. I decided recently to try Gen 4, to see what all the hype was about. So Far I have found a few differences in the Thread Finish. Gen 4 has a shorter pot life, but works well as a finished product. I use at least 4 coats on the Gen 4, and usually only 3 on ProKote Regular. I see very little difference int the finished Product. As for CP I have zero issued with Pro Seal, except that it has a relative short shelf life. I will have to wait and see how Gen 4 compares. I recently used Vivid (4 Coats) on a Gray Nylon. It was awesome. Sorry, it went to a customer and I didn't get any close ups of that.

I hope I got bad batch. I was hoping it would be as good as Chromaseal, as it is made by the same people, but it is not. It is thick, leaves clumps, and is cloudy on dark colors. I have shaken, stirred, and spoken sternly to it, but is just too thick.
